Back to work

This is something I made for my workers, to welcome them back to work after a summer break. I used the Plain Pillow box file from,        The Cutting Cafe
I made them to be 7 inches. I used a spellbinders die to cut out the flap and then I embossed it. I only used half of it
I added the ribbon for the handle, and that was glued down when I closed the box. I used embellishments for the flap. This file was easy to use.  Check out            The Cutting Cafe for amazing files.

A gift

Here is what my mom made using files from The Cutting Café. She doesn't have a blog so I am letting her use mine. The paper is what we had at home in our stash and the file is called Tea Box holder set. Now I am using my cricut explorer and I was having trouble getting the lid to fit. I contacted Regina the owner of The Cutting Café and she helped me. I was stuck and everything I did, it would not work. She took the time out of her schedule(a couple of nights a go) to help me. She even did another write up and cut it out again with her cricut. I have to say she went way beyond. Some companies would take 1-2 days and this is the holidays so longer, no she wanted to make sure I was able to get it to cut.
Here is the finished product.

Thanks Regina for all your help.

Christmas in July

Here is what I was thinking of making for my Christmas cards this year.  I started with an A2 card
( 4.25x5.5). The blue card stock is 3.75x3.75, and then I stamped with white ink, the stamp is from Hero Arts-Snowy Winter Nights, The saying is something that I had, not sure where i got it.

Hope to be back soon with other designs, hard to do anything with one hand.

Grad Card

This year is going by fast. It is the time for Graduations, Summer breaks and Father's Day.  I needed to make a graduation card for my mom's boss, she got her Doctoral in Education. Here is what I used:
white and black paper from my stash, WOW Embossing power-Black Glint, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, tomboy adhesive, Creative Imaginations-Signature Collection and Reminisce-Graduation Stripe papers, scallop punch, and a stamp with the saying.

I started out with white card stock 9x6 1/4, then from each end scored in 2-1/4 using my Scor Buddy, the inside middle the black is 4 1/4x 6 and white is 4 1/8 x 5 3/4,. The side panels on the inside and outside 2 1/4 x 6. The band on the outside is 12 x 1, scallop punch, and embossed the saying and embossed congratulations on the white card inside. Please stop by the store to find these items I used as well as other great items. Have any questions please ask KIM and she will be more then happy to help you. Thank for stopping by come back tomorrow when I show you my Father's Day card and tie box I made using my Silhouette Cameo.

Easter Basket

Easter is almost here and I have a quick way to make a simple Easter basket.  I used paper from Moxxie- Just Hatched, this is double sided, while this paper isn't in the store check out some that is. I also used some 3-d pop dots, and stickles- diamond.  I made a copy of the pattern I used. I used 6x6 paper to make the basket and about 1 more inch for both handles(1/2inch each). I scored the paper at 2" and 4" all the way around. Then one 1 side I cut to just the 1st score line, and did that again on the opposite side. In the diagram it shows to cut on the score line at 2 and 4" to the first line. Do the same on the opposite side. The middle square you cut about 1/4 -1/2 off. On each of the 4 corners you cut diagonal, so that you have triangles. Now on one side bring the triangle points to cross each other as much as you want and attached the 2 handles with a brad or a staple and do the same for the other side.
No that you have your basket, just fussy cut any of the chicks that are at the bottom of the paper and attached with a 3-d pop up dot, add stickles and let dry. Add anything to the basket you want.  I hope this makes sense.

Hope this helps in getting ready for Easter.

Thank you card for Cutters Creek

For my project this week I decided do focus on some of the clubs I am in at Cutters Creek.  I found this paper I had, it had different kinds of fruits so I cut them out. I started with a 4.5 x 5.5 card base and then matted a yellow paper that was from Echo Park collection For the record 2, and then embossed it using Anna Griffin Matelasse.  I used my scotch quick dry glue to adhere it down.  Then I had some washi tape from Doodlebugcalled berry blossoms and put it at the bottom.

Then I took the cuts outs of the fruit and lined them across the washi tape.  I used my tuxedo black ink by Memento to stamp the saying , Thanks a bunch.  The stamp is from my stash. I used some glue pop up dots on the fruits to give them dimension.  Hope you enjoyed this card and please stop by the store for these items.  The items I used were from a club that Kim has open to all.  It is a go way to try new things as well as getting something you want on a budget.  They are great clubs, come by and check them out and remember ask KIM if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend.

I used some ice stickles called crystal ice on their scarf's, hat and mittens. The ribbon is blue and red from what I had at home and then I found some stamps and stamped the saying of winter joy and happy holiday's in red and blue ink.  You can find these and many more items at the Cutters Creek store and if you need something special please ask Kim and she will help you find it.

Another 4th of July Project

This is  project I did for Cutters Creek for which I am on the Design Team.

It’s almost 4th of July, and I decided to make a card.  I got this digital image from online(The cutting café) and it was perfect for this card.  I used a card size 4 ¼ x 5 and then I matted the red poka dot from the Happy Days paper collection from Echo Park. I used Copic markers to color the hat I used Y17,B29 and R46. I used some Ice Stickles on the stars to give it some bling. The saying is something I also found online(the cutting café). I used pop up dots from my stach to give the hat and the words a 3-d look.

Please come by the store to find these and other great products.  Just ask Kim if you can't find something, she will gladly help you get it.  HAPPY 4th of JULY.  Be safe.

4th of July tag

Here is a new project I did for 4th of July, a tag.  I am on a design team for CUTTERS CREEK.  This is my project I did for them and I thought to share it here on my blog as well.
The cut outs are from Quick Kutz / Lifestyle Crafts. I used red cardstock for the tag and the red(barn door) and blue(faded jeans) are from Tim Holts & Ranger distress collection by core'dinations.  I cut the tag out using my cricut and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, and size about 6inches..  then I just added red ribbon to the top.
Here is a close up
Hope you liked it. Thanks for stopping by.
